Along the southeastern edge of the Tyrrhenian Sea lies the Costa degli Dei—a 55-kilometer ribbon of shore where turquoise tides mirror the majesty of the Aeolian Islands.
Legend whispers that if the gods ever descended form Mount Olympus, they chose Calabria as their divine landing spot before heading to Athens.

Your Calabria awaits!
Your Host in Calabria
Nice to meet you! My name is Patrizia Costa and I’m an art historian who leads cultural tours to Calabria, a region nestled between two pearls of the Mediterranean: the Ionian and the Tyrrhenian Seas.
Born in Milan and raised between Italy and the United States. I have spent my career teaching art history and guiding curious travelers through the world’s most storied landscapes.
While art and history informs my perspective, it is the hospitality, authenticity and breathtaking natural beauty of this region that lures me back again and again.
My connection to the region was forged during childhood summers spent with my grandmother who taught me to appreciate Calabrian culture and—perhaps most importantly—insisted I learn the local dialect. This linguistic bond allows me to bypass the typical tourist experience and connect deeply with the community.
Every tour with Coast of the Gods Tours is a voyage through layers of time: from the ancient echoes of Magna Grecia, to the architectural legacies of the Roman, Byzantine, and Normans. We will also engage with a new generation of entrepreneurs who are revitalizing the region with sustainable tourism, organic farming, and fantastic cultural initiatives.
When I’m not traveling, I live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with my two Portuguese Water Dogs, Captain and Gracie. I’m also a lead instructor for Sotheby’s Institute of Art in New York City.
I would love for you to join me in experiencing the richness of Calabria. Our 2026 tour is filling up fast and we are already starting to work on 2027.

Se il rumore del mare sovrasta quello dei pensieri, sei nel posto giusto.
If the sound of the sea drowns the sound of your thoughts, you're in the right place.
Qui la terra esala un sospiro fragrante di agrumi, e il vento porta sussurri di storia e mito.
Here the earth breathes a fragrant sigh of citrus, and the wind carries whispers of history and myth.
Gli ulivi sono gli "antichi guardiani" della Calabria.
I loro tronchi nodosi sono incisi con storie secolari.
The olive trees are Calabria’s ancient guardians.
Their gnarled trunks are etched with the stories of centuries.
Life in a Calabrian town is an ode to the simple and the authentic. It’s a celebration of “la vita lenta,” a slow, soulful existence.
